The Challenge

## A New Site with Limited Visibility in a Competitive Florida Market

When Resilience Recovery Resources came to us, they were a young center with a clear niche — adolescent and young adult male treatment in West Palm Beach — but their digital presence wasn't reflecting that expertise. Competitors in the Florida market were significantly outpacing them in organic keyword rankings and monthly traffic.

The site had the foundation of a strong brand, but lacked the content architecture and technical SEO needed to compete. Keyword rankings were minimal, organic traffic was low, and the homepage wasn't structured to capture the high-intent searches that lead to admissions inquiries. Call volume was in the single digits monthly.

- Starting Point
- **~10 calls/month** from organic sources when the engagement began
- **Minimal keyword rankings** against competitors averaging 2,600+ organic keywords
- **Homepage not optimized** for high-intent treatment searches in the Florida market

Core Problems

🔍

**Low Search Visibility vs. Competitors**Key competitors were ranking for thousands of organic keywords while Resilience Recovery was starting from near zero

📄

**No Content Architecture**No cluster pages, no topic authority strategy, and core service pages weren't aligned to how patients search for adolescent treatment

🏠

**Homepage Not Built to Rank**The homepage lacked the structure and content needed to capture high-intent impressions from families searching for treatment options

📞

**Organic Not Driving Calls**Despite the center's strong clinical focus, organic search was generating almost no inbound call volume from prospective patients or families

The Strategy

## Topical Authority First, Then Convert the Traffic

We built Resilience Recovery's SEO presence from the ground up — starting with a content architecture designed to establish topical authority quickly, then optimizing for conversion as traffic grew.

01

Cluster Content and Topical Authority Building

We identified that Resilience Recovery had a unique content advantage: the fentanyl-in-vapes topic was trending heavily among their target audience of teens and young adults. We built content around this topic early, which earned a featured placement in Google's AI Overviews — a signal of the site's growing topical authority. From there, we expanded into related substance use, mental health, and addiction topics to build a compounding content ecosystem that continued gaining visibility month over month.

02

Homepage Redesign to Capture High-Intent Impressions

In mid-to-late May 2025, we implemented a full homepage redesign aligned to how families search for adolescent and young adult male treatment in West Palm Beach. The impact was immediate — high-intent impressions jumped from ~491 per day to ~1,833 per day on average, a 273% increase. The redesign restructured the messaging and content hierarchy to clearly communicate Resilience Recovery's niche, programs, and location to both search engines and site visitors.

03

Content Optimization and Internal Linking for Conversion

Alongside new content creation, we continuously optimized existing pages to improve engagement and guide users toward contact. Content optimizations, cluster page additions, and strategic topic coverage all contributed to the traffic and visibility gains. The goal wasn't just more sessions — it was sessions from people more likely to reach out, evidenced by the consistent growth in call volume from multiple sources including Google Organic, Google My Business, and direct traffic throughout Q2.

What Made the Difference

## Why This Strategy Worked

01

Topical Authority Built Around a Unique Niche

Resilience Recovery's focus on adolescent and young adult males gave them a content angle competitors weren't fully owning. By building deep content around substance use topics relevant to their patient population — including trending topics like fentanyl in vapes — we established authority signals that search engines rewarded quickly and consistently.

02

Homepage Redesign Unlocked High-Intent Impressions

The single highest-impact moment of Q2 was the homepage redesign in May. High-intent daily impressions jumped 273% almost immediately — from ~491 to ~1,833 per day on average. This wasn't just a visual refresh. It was a structural change that realigned the page's content, messaging, and keyword signals to what families searching for adolescent treatment actually need to see.

03

AI Overview Placement Signaled True Topical Authority

Earning a featured placement in Google's AI Overviews for the fentanyl-in-vapes topic isn't something you can force — it's a signal that Google trusts the site as a credible, authoritative source on that query. That kind of visibility extends beyond traditional rankings and puts Resilience Recovery in front of users even before they click a traditional result.

04

Compounding Content Compounds Results

Going from ~10 calls per month to 160+ in under a year isn't the result of one tactic — it's the result of a content system that compounds. Every cluster page added to the topical authority. Every optimization improved the signal. And as the site's authority grew, rankings improved across the board, driving more traffic across more terms every month.
